Tutoring requirements:
• Commit to a minimum of 1 hour per week.
• Desire to work with students in math, reading and/or writing.
• 16 years or older.
• Ability to attend training and orientation.
• Ability to comply with SPPS Foundation and program site guidelines.
Our tutoring settings include:
• In-school tutoring during the school day.
• After-school tutoring at a school site.
• Tutoring at community-based programs.
• Tutoring at culturally specific programs.

• Tutors will have a direct impact on the academic achievement of SPPS students.
• Tutoring sites supply relevant curriculum, lesson plans and materials.
• Tutors are supervised and supported by licensed teachers or professional staff.
• Tutors will receive training in tutoring techniques and SPPS curriculum.
