The Saint Paul Public Schools offer a world of opportunities
for a multicultural population of more than 42,000 students from pre-kindergarten
through grade 12.
Saint Paul Public Schools have more than 250 schools, programs and learning
sites. In addition to school-age children, these programs serve the youngest
of learners from birth to age 5 and adults who are learning English or getting
an adult diploma or G.E.D. A commitment to developing each student’s
individual potential has driven Saint Paul Public Schools to become a national
pioneer in school choice, special education, English Language Learner Programs
and high school small learning communities.
Saint Paul Public Schools radiates a multicultural energy that prepares
students to be successful in the global economy. About 29 percent of SPPS
students are Asian; 28 percent Caucasian; 29 percent African American, 12
percent Latino/Hispanic and 2 percent American Indian.
